The remainder of the zombies were taken out relatively well. Ben had spent the entire fight watching the flank with me. I don't think he found it very exciting. In the end we took another lengthy rest for Agis to recover his spent energy.

The journey continued into the dark caves. There wasn't much to see, at least not that we could find. Another group in one of the rooms we had previously explored. I managed to shoot a rat between Ben's legs. The rest of the fight went as per usual. Normal Goblins and giant rats aren't a big deal for my well armored, skilled warrior friends.

But I managed to hear some noises just before the battle died down. There wasn't enough time to pinpoint their location but I'm sure they came from further into the cave. Either way we're here to deal with everything we can, so surely we'll find them eventually. Let's just hope they don't find us first. They might be waiting for us but with Doran and Ben in the front I'm sure they'll be able to handle whatever comes their way.

I am more concerned that we haven't seen the wicked monster yet. The goblin turning into a rat creature concerns me. At least I found a heavier crossbow so maybe this time…

So far this delve, the group has only re-tread tunnels and rooms which they have already visited. As they often rest for long periods after a fight, this increases the chance of wandering encounters, which in turn furthers slows their progress. The players are aware of this; it is their choice. I look forward to the group making fresh progress, which increases their chance of finding better loot, and justifies a greater award of XP.
