------

We got through some 15 turns of combat between the party and 6 orc boar riders, in about 3 hours. We ended earlier than usual because one of our players wasn't feeling well, and we were already absent two players for the session. After the interlude PbP posts, where I documented each action of each turn, I am now in the opposite position of not having detailed notes from the live VTT session, and not recalling all the specifics.

What did happen is that party laid into one boar and its rider, while the other 5 were circling around out of range. They did manage to eventually drop the boar but it kept passing its death saves and unconsciousness checks, and fought on till the end. The rider did not last as long as his mount.

Below is a screenshot from the start of turn 25, where we ended the session.

Now they are in a situation with the next wave of enemies having arrived, a mixture of mostly goblin archers, accompanied by orc warriors. Meanwhile the boar riders have circled back around, and are charging at them from the opposite side (some ~20 yards away, just off the edge of the map).

Things could get sticky for the party now. The PCs do have some Impulse Points saved; I think they'll need them. Hopefully between that, some good tactics, and a bit of luck, will suffice to keep the party alive...
