DF Novices, Team-A, Session 50 - Doran's Perspective

Having recovered from my arm injury and buying some new armour as well as a fancy new shield, I was feeling really great about this trip into the mines. However, some guy called Yorgen with a head metaphorically bigger than the planet itself turned up and basically just welcomed himself into our party. He even had the audacity to call me small. Yeah you read that right, whilst the others were training, I’ve been doing some reading.
Side note: I forgot to mention in my last log that my beautiful Dwarven Battle Axe got lost in the caves. It’s been three weeks now since I last saw it and I am praying very hard, to whatever Gods and Goddesses there may be, that we find it. I swear if one of those damn goblins has taken it I will chop off their head.
Anyway, we headed back into the mines, dealt with some zombies and other monstrosities, blah blah blah. And after dealing with all that continued on as normal through the mine.
The first thing we did was check inside a room we’ve been in previously. I opened the door and could see it was empty. But special Yorgen had to check anyway. I decided to look in the chests as you never know what may be in one of them. As is typical there was nothing. Once Yorgen was happy that the room was truly empty (insert eye roll) we continued on.
The first beasts, if you can even call them that, that we faced were some rats. It was a pretty easy fight as they couldn’t even get through my armour. Although spending money on it may push my training back a bit, it was definitely a good investment. The team dealt with them easily enough so we rested up and continued forth.
There was a brief discussion about tactics during which I managed to keep focus rather than charging ahead. It was agreed we would take the route that would lead back to where my Battle Axe was last seen. However, due to some miscommunication about whether we were moving forth or checking the corridor we were in, I got frustrated and shouted and pompous Yorgen. This supposedly alerted the enemies to our presence and an ambush ensued.
Goblins started coming in all directions. Yorgen, Ben and I are battling a few of them with the support of Dagne. I’m not sure what Eleanor and Erizax are doing but Eleanor did yell to let us know they’re under attack too. They have the support of Randall though as well as Yorgen's big friend Ulokk, so I think they’ll be ok. We’ve dealt with scarier things before without the help of some irritating knight. Plus I have armour now.
I hope they don't kill each other.
